What? The New Common Sense is a project to foster more productive and public critical reflection on the internal challenges facing the British left.
Why? We think the left faces various internal challenges in addition to the strength of our opponents – things we should be able to fix – and we think that a lot of current discussions of these problems are unproductive.
How? We plan to share our own thinking and talk to a wide range of other people on the left, all in as accessible and plurlalistic form as possible.
Who? We are Tim Syme, a political philosopher, and Adam Herriott, a writer and campaigner.
